Mile High Pie by Pete and Colleen

(This is Colleen's shower dessert)

Put 2 egg whites at room temperature in a large bowl;

add:

1 C sugar

pinch of salt

1- 12 oz defrosted strawberries

1 Tbs lemon juice

Beat 20 minutes with regular mixer or 10 minutes with Bosch mixer.

Fold in:

1- 8 oz thawed Kool Whip

Put in shell in 9X13 pan. Sprinkle with nuts and freeze. If you don’t want to use fresh eggs you can use reconstituted egg powder or pasteurized egg whites from a carton to equal 2 whites.
